Ningbo Jiangdong Domestic Waste Classification and Transfer Station is located in the Sangjia community, Fuming Street, Jiangdong District, Ningbo, with the Jiangdong Northeast Sewage Treatment Plant on the southeast side, and the Houxi River on the west side and the Riverside Avenue on the north side. The total land area of the project is about 19,374㎡, and the total construction area is 31,139.86㎡ (including an aboveground construction area of 9,332.15㎡ and an underground area of 21,807.71 ㎡).

　　to realize the harmlessness, reduction and resource utilization of urban domestic waste to the greatest extent, the station, as the demonstration project of the Ningbo government, aims to implement source separation and resource utilization of waste, to improve the recycling system, and to establish an innovative demonstration system of domestic waste classification and recycling by introducing the concept of circular economy and by drawing on the international advanced experience of waste classification and treatment. The station is also an appointed project of the Ningbo Development and Reform Commission, involving the construction of the facility system of classification, collecting, transferring, disposing, and recycling of the domestic waste in eight districts (management committees) of the city. As a sub-project, Jiangdong District Domestic Waste Transfer Station draws a total investment of 374 million RMB.

　　The project contains a waste transfer workshop (three sets of large horizontal direct-pressure waste compressor), leachate treatment workshop, machine repair workshop, sanitation workers' shift rest building, sanitation parking garage, intelligent sanitation command center, ramp, ground balance, car washing facilities, internal refueling point, Houxi River bridge, Houxi River flood control wall, plant roads, greening and other ancillary facilities.
